Share Your Layout / **Zbrush** Medium Layout
« on: April 14, 2016, 03:06:17 am »
Just made a decent Zbrush layout.  The Q Menu button (ctrl q) is for a custom palette that I use.  The rest are normal hotkeys.  It's still a work in progress.  Running on a Surface 3.

Bugs / Frame with r-drag + ctrl problems in Zbrush
« on: April 14, 2016, 02:02:15 am »
I tested out the frame with r-drag + ctrl and another + alt in zbrush and right away saw how perfect these could be for panning and zooming in and out.

There is a big butt though.  The ctrl and alt buttons seam to be released before the r-drag is when you lift your finger off of the frame which causes other behaviors in zbrush and makes it unusable.  The r-drag needs to be released at the same time or a millisecond before the alt or ctrl buttons are for it to function properly in zbrush.  I'd love to see this timing fix.

Share Your Layout / Medium Artist Pad **Lightroom** Layout

Just created a usable medium Lightroom layout.  It's still a work in progress but thought I would add it here so people would have something.

There is an Up, Down, Left, Right D-Pad.  The up and down are actually Ctrl Up and Ctrl Down to change the flag level.  The left and right are normal.  The Copy button creates a virtual copy.  There are + and - buttons to change Lightroom sliders that you click on.

Bugs / Re: Problem with holding buttons on the Artist Pad
« on: April 08, 2016, 03:22:11 am »
I tested the right to left hand pen setting and it does take care of the holding button issue but adds a new dealbreaker for me.  The touch slider, using Frame(with R-drag), that I use for changing the brush size stops working when in left hand mode.  I switch back to right hand and it works.  Also the palm rejection stops working properly and your hand starts clicking on all sorts of things.  No good at  all.

I'm having lots of problems with this issue as well.  It's killing me in Photoshop when retouching.  When using the healing brush tool I need to sample patches of skin by pressing the alt key.  That can easily be over a hundred samples and the current solution to toggle the alt button slows thing down to an unacceptable level.  I'll try the left hand fix and hope not too many other problems come about.

Shoot I made a layout earlier today with the slider and it works perfect!  I do not have to lift my pen way off the screen to where the cursor disappears just lift it a tiny bit to stop painting.  I'm on a Surface 3.

I was really surprised to not see a layout made with a touchpad for brush size and hardness just like the Wacom touch sliders so here mine is.  I just made the Artist Pad Medium layout and not any of the others.  So far it works perfect for me!  I'll try and post a video soon while using it for retouching.  Using it on my Surface 3.

I also fixed the undo to actually step back through history and added a redo.  Also added a merge visible to a new layer (ctrl+alt+shift+e).  I'm sure I'll do more but I just got this yesterday and added what I needed to get my Surface going for retouching.
