Bugs / Re: CTRL+ALT
« on: January 18, 2016, 01:16:19 pm »
Ok guys, I believe I made an important discovery.
There has been a lot of confusion in this forum about setting the palm rejection either to left or right, like that miracously solved all problems.
So, I had "left" set (as suggested by the authors), which allows standard keys like "space" to be pressed together with the pen.
This adds a problem though: it is not possible to press more than one key at a time. Also, even if it is difficult to notice, there is some lag when pressing keys this way, that may make void further tries to press buttons.

The "right" hand setting instead, introduces another problem, where pressing a button like "space" and then the pen, first releases the button (space in this example).

In other words, none of the two methods really work as they should, and I personally don't like to use hacks. I hope that this will help fixing the issue, in every case, for both "left" and "right" hand configurations.

So, I've watched the video above. From julianjc84's video, it looks like the only way to press ctrl+alt+shift together, is to make a combo button, which is not ideal... am I correct?

Hey julianjc84, thank you so much for your quick reply!

Now that I'm thinking about, I may have disabled the "allow simultaneous operation of pen and touch for WACOM  devices", leaving the other "allow simultaneous operation of pen and touch"... I will check as soon as I'm home :)

By "it is not intuitive like how a typical keyboard would work" what do you mean exactly?
Sorry I'm on my phone and I can't watch the videos right now.

Thank you again!

Hey guys,

I'm on a Surface Pro 4, and there's no way i can use ctrl, alt and shift together when the pen is close to the screen.
It works ok when I'm not using the pen.

Did anyone of you succeeded in using them?
Currently on beta48.
Thanks.

Bugs / Re: Buttons not staying depressed in layout mode of beta 23
« on: December 19, 2015, 09:03:12 am »
Hi Justice,
Thank you for your suggestion, but this isn't making the experience any better for me.
Right to Left doesn't solve the issue.
Now it even looks like it's impossible to press two or more modifier keys at the same time: sometimes they do, most of the time not.
And yet, every key gets released as soon as the pen touches the screen.

One question: are you trying your application with a surface pro 4, with the "Disable ctrl, alt, shift toggle" option checked? Because it sounds strange to me, that after all this feedback, you suggest a fix that doesn't work.
I want to like this app, but so far has been of no use to me, and its getting frustrating.
Apologies if this sounds too harsh: I understand it's still in beta.

Thank you,
M.

Hi Justice,

as we already discussed by email, I have the exact same problems as AndyWear described.
What we want, it's just to get the ctrl, alt, shift keys to behave like they would do in a physical keyboard.
Instead currently these keys are buggy, don't register properly and it is very difficult to work with them.

Also, I've noticed that basically ALL keys don't stay pressed if you click the pen on the screen.
Example: with a standard physical keyboard, the "space" key in zbrush must be pressed and hold to open a popup window. If the space key is then released, the popup disappears.
Now, with TabletPro instead, if I press and hold the space key in zbrush this popup window appears as expected, but as soon as I click a parameter in this window with my pen, the space key gets released even if I am still holding my finger on it, and the popup disappears.
I believe this is common to every key in TP.

Thanks for listening.

Install questions / Problems using .ini layouts
« on: November 25, 2015, 03:40:45 pm »
Hi there, I just bought a Surface Pro 4 and TabletPcMouse.
I followed the instructions to export the artistpad layout from the app, and tried loading it in TabletPcMouse, but I still get the default Layout.
Help!
