« on: February 02, 2016, 03:08:35 am »

I installed it, but all the installation and activation part was very confusing.
Im playing with it right now on zbrush and it seems to be very responsive!

How do I???? / Using gestures to change button layouts.

How do I use gestures to change button layouts?

Is there anyway to have more than one artist pad?
Im trying to change layouts right now and the only way I know how to do this is to keep loading ini's into the presets.  Is there anyway to at least make it appear in the option box in the task bar?
Right now I seel only Full Screen, Float, Side(right), Artist Pad, Close.

Bugs / Re: CTRL+ALT
« on: January 07, 2016, 12:26:09 am »
Well I just realized I was an idiot.
Earlier the  CTRL/ALt combo didnt work anymore, it started doing CTRL+ALT+SHIFT again.  Then I clicked on the F (frame) button right next to it and it was also CTRL+ALT+SHIFT.  It drove me nuttttts.  Then I noticed it was on the same horizontal row and tried different buttons on that same row and it was doing the same thing.  I decided to turn off Radial Menu and it fixed the problem....  Eventhough I had radial menu minimized when I was working with TabletPro, it was selecting unwanted buttons on certain rows.  So my problem was having 2 touch programs up at the same time.

Tomorrow I want to play with swiping to see how I can change profiles, that way I can make another set of buttons dedicated to my other softwares.  I use them all differently.

What I liked about radialMenu was that you can assign profiles to an .exe file.  When you open up a program with the .exe, it automatically loads up the profile for that specific software.  I assigned one for  zbrush and one for photoshop.  My profile changes as I go back and fourth between the softwares.  This is something I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY want.  Probably more so than custom PNG.  It doesn't prevent me to get out of my zone to switch profiles each time I have to switch programs.
UNFORTUNATELY, this program only works for a few minutes before the buttons stop working.

Anyhow I also screen capped the tabletPro set up I have.  I have button combinations of shift, alt,CTRL which allows me to mask, unmask, hide, unhide etc.

I absolutely have to have toggle on.  You can't select 2 buttons at once  which is true, but that's why I like to map them together into one button.  When you do that, it works pretty well. I'm aware that the ctrl shift, alt buttons behave differently if you have it selected in the pull down menu, compared to the click box.  I'll try your method tonite.  I'll screen cap my buttons so far for radial menu and tablet pro.  I completely gave up on radial menu though since it only works for a few minutes then stops working.

I just updated to beta45(think this is the latest?)

and it might have fixed the problem.  Shift button is no longer being selected for this combination.

Hi thanks for the video Julian.
I'm going to have to try out that float mode.
I like that you can control the size.

But to me the benefit to having an artist pad mode is that....well its already there for you.
The best way to make this software work well is to implement pre laid out UIs and I think thats what the idea of Artist Pad is suppose to be.
I just automatically assumed it was designed for me so I just used it lol.

I kinda got a headache from dealing with the shift, ctrl alt buttons so I stopped  bothering with it for awhile but I need to get this thing running soon.

Bugs / CTRL+ALT

Hi Justice,
So I need to map CTRL+ALT together to use Unmask in Zbrush but this doesn't seem to be possible for me.
Everytime I put these 2 together, for some reason it always add the shift button together with it.  So instead of CTRL+ALT I'm getting CTRL+ALT+Shift!

That's a huge no no for me.  I need CTRL+ALT to remove masking in a controlled manner.  Can you check that out?

Lock, or to be able to remove the moving toggle of the menu would be nice too.
I keep accidently moving it around it around.

The infamous Gesture keyboard / Re: In love with the Gesture keyboard

I need to try this out.
I too use mouse gestures for Maya.  I love it, it makes everything really quick for me.

Bugs / Re: Buttons not staying depressed in layout mode of beta 23
« on: December 09, 2015, 01:05:14 am »
What I noticed...

If you select CTRL, ALT, SHIFT in the scroll down menu, they become click buttons.  You can't press hold on them.

When you click the boxes for CTRL, ALT, SHIFT in the click selection, they become hold buttons.  When you press on it, it stays held even when you let go of your finger.

What I want instead is to be able to control the hold by just holding down my finger, then releasing my finger to release the button just like you would on a keyboard.

Yep I downloaded beta 44.

By staying on,
I meant that when my finger is on and holding the button, it releases while I'm still hold pressing it.

Hi,
I pretty much did what Gary did last nite before bed and it worked.  I noticed it right before bed that it was saved from one of the defaults.   I also saved an ini on my desktop that I kept trying to load, not sure if thats necessary?

I'm only messing around with the Art Pad because its the only one I really care about at the moment.  Until I master using this, I'll play with the others too! :)
Soooo the background I'm talking about is from the artist pad.  I think it take up too much screen estate for me and having that resizing ability would be very useful.

I think i'll compile a more organized list of things  when I get more familiar with this pad.

Once again.  ALT, SHIFT, CTRL!  ALT+CTRL etc.   Most important to me right now.  Without it I feel lost.   :)

I installed the 2.0 version and been playing with it.

In the button editor,
Trying to move the icon around is very unresponsive so it took me awhile to set up buttons.

Anyhow when I finished it, I went back to modify my button by trying to open up my saved ini, but it won't load up.  SO I can't seem to edit that right now. Is there a way to edit your own layout instead of the preset?

How do I reduce the size of the layout's background? The black part.

Change button name section.  It should Auto center as you type.

Oh yeah an undo and redo in the editor would be nice too : )

----
Essentially button holding down of shift, CTRL and ALT are my only problem.  Its hard to select, mask and navigate like I could on an actual  keyboard.  Button pressing is just fine.
